How It Works

Want to get your story out there? Our in-house Story Package is one of two simple options made for everyday people (not businesses). It’s an easy way to get seen and heard without spending a fortune.

Step 1: Submit Your Story For Review

There’s a $200 upfront editorial review fee. This ensures our team can dedicate time and attention to evaluating each submission properly. It covers content screening, fact-checking, and editorial review — not just a quick skim. It ensures every story gets the attention and care it deserves.

  • Not a Guarantee of Publication: The fee covers our editorial team’s time to assess your story — it does not guarantee publication. If your story isn’t selected, we’ll provide constructive feedback and a 50% refund.
  • High-Quality Submissions Only: To maintain the integrity of the platform, we’re focused on stories with strong community relevance, credible sources, and potential public interest.
Step 2: Editorial Review & Decision

Our team will carefully assess your submission to make sure it aligns with our values, journalistic integrity, and community impact.

  • If your story is approved, you’ll be asked to pay the final $300 (totalling $500). Once paid, your story is professionally edited and published on StreetBuzz. You’ll also get a chance to be featured through our official in-app channels and social media.
  • If your story is declined, you’ll receive a 50% refund of your submission fee ($100), along with editorial feedback explaining why it wasn’t a fit this time.
Step 3: Get Featured — Be Heard

Published stories may be shared via our official StreetBuzz account for greater exposure, giving your story more visibility and weight in the algorithm. You’ll be contributing to a growing platform built on community-led reporting and transparency.

Why Do We Charge?

Publishing important stories is more than just writing a post and pressing a submit button. We invest in editorial review, fact-checking, legal oversight, and presentation to ensure your story is trusted, impactful, and responsible. After all, it could reach hundreds of thousands of people.

Whilst you can still post on the StreetBuzz platform for free, there is an image/video limit of 1 and a word limit of 100. This is to maintain the integrity of the platform and ensure a seamless home feed experience. The pricing gateway also ensures only serious and meaningful stories that provide value are submitted, preserving the quality and trust of the StreetBuzz platform. It helps us avoid sensationalism and misinformation while giving real stories the attention they deserve.
