Content Moderation

StreetBuzz thrives on authenticity, community vigilance, and trust. While we empower users to share real events from their streets, we also have zero tolerance for abuse, misinformation, or harmful behaviour. There is a special process we follow to ensure the platform is safe and fair for everyone.

Our Moderation Approach

We use a hybrid model of:

Automated Moderation

AI-powered tools to flag spam, hate speech, or graphic content.

Human Moderation

Our moderation team reviews high risk alerts, flagged posts and community reports.

Community Reporting

Users can report content, accounts, or comments directly in the app.

Content Moderation Policy

Effective Date: [Insert Today’s Date]

StreetBuzz (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to maintaining a safe, responsible, and trustworthy platform. This policy outlines how content is reviewed, moderated, and enforced across the Platform.

1. Purpose

StreetBuzz exists to provide:

  • Real-time community alerts
  • Public safety information
  • Local news and discussions

To maintain trust and safety, all content is subject to moderation.

2. Moderation Approach

StreetBuzz uses a combination of:

  • Automated systems
  • Human moderation
  • Community reporting

Content may be reviewed:

  • Before publication (in high-risk cases)
  • After publication (based on reports or system flags)

3. Alert Types & Moderation Levels

StreetBuzz categorises content based on risk level:

a) High-Risk Alerts (Urgent Alerts)

High-risk alerts include:

  • Active incidents
  • Serious criminal activity
  • Situations involving immediate public safety risk

These alerts are subject to:

  • Mandatory manual review by an admin before publication
  • Verification checks where possible
  • Careful assessment to reduce misinformation and public harm

👉 High-risk alerts will not be automatically published.

b) Moderate-Risk Alerts (Non-Urgent Alerts)

These may include:

  • Suspicious activity
  • Local incidents without immediate danger

These may be:

  • Published with system checks
  • Reviewed after posting if flagged

c) Low-Risk Content (Discussion)

These include:

  • General discussions
  • Community conversations

These are typically:

  • Published immediately
  • Moderated post-publication if required

f) Spam & Misuse

  • Repetitive or irrelevant posts

  • Unauthorised promotions

5. Public Interest Consideration

StreetBuzz recognises that some sensitive content may serve a legitimate public interest.
