1. Our Commitment to Child Safety

StreetBuzz has a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).

We are committed to ensuring that our platform is a safe environment for all users and that any content or behaviour that endangers minors is prohibited, detected, and acted upon immediately.

This policy aligns with the requirements of the Google Play Child Safety Standards and applicable laws in Australia and internationally.

2. What is Prohibited (CSAE & CSAM)

StreetBuzz strictly prohibits:

  • Any form of child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Content that sexualises or exploits minors
  • Grooming behaviour or attempts to contact minors for exploitation
  • Sextortion, trafficking, or coercion involving minors
  • Sharing, requesting, or linking to exploitative content involving minors

This includes text, images, videos, usernames, comments, and private interactions.

Any violation will result in immediate removal and account termination, and may be reported to law enforcement authorities.

3. Platform Design & Safety Measures

StreetBuzz is designed as a location-based community alert platform, not a platform for private messaging or anonymous interaction.

To reduce risk:

  • Users are required to create identifiable profiles
  • Anonymous posting is restricted and subject to higher moderation scrutiny
  • Content is categorised by risk level (urgent alerts, non-urgent alerts, discussions)
  • Posts are tied to real-world locations and community context

We intentionally limit features that could enable unsafe private interactions.

4. Content Moderation & Detection

We actively monitor and moderate content using a combination of:

  • Manual moderation systems
  • User reporting tools
  • Automated detection signals (where applicable)

Content flagged as high-risk is reviewed with priority.

If content is identified as CSAM or exploitative:

  • It is removed immediately
  • The account is permanently banned
  • Relevant authorities may be notified

5. In-App Reporting & User Feedback

StreetBuzz provides clear in-app mechanisms for users to report unsafe content or behaviour.

Users can:

  • Report posts directly within the app
  • Flag users for suspicious or harmful activity
  • Submit safety concerns through our support channels

All reports relating to child safety are treated as high priority.

6. Legal Compliance & Law Enforcement

StreetBuzz complies with all relevant child safety laws and regulations, including those relating to:

  • Child protection
  • Online safety
  • Mandatory reporting obligations

Where required, we will cooperate with law enforcement and child protection agencies, including the Australian Federal Police and international authorities.

7. Child Safety Point of Contact

For any child safety concerns, reports, or urgent issues, please contact:

Email: hello@streetbuzz.com
Subject Line: Child Safety Concern

We aim to respond to all serious safety reports as quickly as possible.

8. User Responsibility

All users of StreetBuzz must:

  • Act responsibly and lawfully
  • Avoid posting content involving minors unless it is lawful and in the public interest
  • Never share identifying or sensitive information about minors
  • Report any suspicious or harmful behaviour immediately

Failure to comply may result in account suspension or permanent removal.

9. Ongoing Improvements

StreetBuzz is committed to continuously improving our safety systems, moderation processes, and reporting tools to better protect users — especially minors.

10. Policy Updates

We may update this policy periodically to reflect changes in law, platform features, or safety standards.
