Content Licensing & Media Use

This policy explains how content uploaded to StreetBuzz (“Platform”) may be used, shared, and licensed.
By uploading content to StreetBuzz, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Ownership of Content
Users retain ownership of the content they upload, including:
- Photos
- Videos
- Text posts
- Other media
StreetBuzz does not claim ownership of user content.
2. Licence Granted to StreetBuzz
By uploading content to the Platform, you grant StreetBuzz a:
- Worldwide
- Non-exclusive
- Royalty-free
- Perpetual
- Sub-licensable licence
to:
- Use
- Reproduce
- Distribute
- Modify
- Display
- Publish
your content across the Platform and related services.
3. Media & Third-Party Licensing
StreetBuzz may license user-generated content to third parties, including:
- News organisations
- Media outlets
- Digital publishers
This may include use for:
- Editorial purposes
- News reporting
- Promotional or commercial use
StreetBuzz may receive compensation for such licensing.
Users acknowledge that they are not automatically entitled to payment, unless agreed separately in writing.
4. How Media Can Obtain Permission
Media organisations or third parties wishing to use content from StreetBuzz must:

- Clearly identify the content they wish to use
- Obtain written permission or a licensing agreement before use
Unauthorised use of content is not permitted.
5. Unauthorised Use
If content from StreetBuzz is used without permission:
StreetBuzz reserves the right to:
- Issue a formal takedown request
- Require proper attribution or licensing fees
- Pursue legal action where necessary
This includes use by:
- Media outlets
- Social media pages
- Third-party platforms
6. User Responsibilities
By uploading content, users confirm that:

Users are solely responsible for the content they upload.

Users should avoid uploading sensitive or private material.
8. Content Removal
StreetBuzz may remove content at its discretion.
However:
- Removal does not revoke licences already granted
- Content previously licensed may continue to be used
9. Attribution
StreetBuzz may provide attribution where appropriate.
However:
- Attribution is not guaranteed
- Third-party usage may not always include attribution
10. No Guarantee of Use
StreetBuzz is not obligated to:
- Use or promote any content
- Enter into licensing agreements
- Provide compensation

4. What Is Generally Permitted Without a Licence
The following uses are generally permitted without a licence:
If you are unsure whether a proposed use requires a licence, please contact us before publishing.
- Linking directly to StreetBuzz content
- Referencing trends or incidents without reproducing StreetBuzz media
- Quoting short excerpts of text with clear attribution
- Reporting on events independently using original reporting or sources

Content licensing helps everyone:

- Protect contributors from misuse or misrepresentation
- Support the sustainability of the StreetBuzz platform
